OldWestNewWest.com: History & Travel Magazine
Overview:
Oldwestnewwest.com, a history and travel magazine focused on American old west culture and new west travel adventures, came to Z-Web Solutions for a complete web solution. The site itself was rich with original content and, on its own, had developed a strong base of traffic and visitors, but saw very little advertising revenue. In addition, the site had no system to manage content. Every article was inputted as a static page. Z-Web Solutions took up this challenge of developing Old West New West and the internet’s #1 source for Old West Culture, History & New West Travel.
Strategy:
Realizing that they were working in a niche market, Z-Web Solutions experts developed a SEO strategy through a targeted link building effort. In addition, the website itself was given a new fresh look with a fully integrated content management system. Once the new site was complete Z-Web Solutions was contracted on a multi-year web optimization & management deal. Z-Web Solutions experts now make recommendations for new “keyword rich” stories, manage online advertising placement, build links and optimize all content for the best visibility on search engines. Z-Web Solutions also installed tracking and reporting tools to better understand site visitors and provides the publisher with a record of all website traffic.
The Result:
OldWestNewWest.com has now begun to emerge as a leading resource for online wild west news. The site is constantly growing and is on track to break 500,000 monthly hits by the end of the year.
